Ballet School ConcertIn our fourth of six school concerts the focus was on music from the Romantic Era which featured ballet music danced by two fine ballet dancers--Amanda Roar and Robbie Rodriguez--with Priscilla Hallberg, violin and Ronaldo Baca, guitar. Concerts were presented at PAPA (Pubic Academy for Performing Arts) and Alamosa and Hodgin Elementary Schools. Artists presented workshops for students at PAPA and concerts ended with questions from the audience. Selections were Romanza Andaluza (Pablo de Sarasate), Cápricho Árabe (Francisco Tårrega), Malagueña and Zapateado (Sarasate) and Cantabile (Paganini). Complete program videos appear at the end of the Gallery. “Great Music for Young Ears” is a outreach program of the String Academy of the Southwest with funding from NM Arts and the Music Guild of NM.
