Carlsbad Caverns
Carlsbad Caverns is about 4.5 hours South of Albuquerque, and is a world famous site. Without apology for this overused term--the Caverns are AWESOME! We spent 3 hours walking the 1.25 mile path around the "Big Room." The room is 800 feet below the surface and is 8.2 acres in size . Temperature was 59° a relief from the 111° above ground. A Broadway lighting "tech" did the elaborate light design which is impressive. Enjoy the photos and realize they can't compete with the reality of Carlsbad Caverns.
